The $32 trillion question

Patrick McCann - August 7, 2018

Now that Lisa Brown has advanced to the general election in Washington’s 5th Congressional District, she will have to finally give voters an answer on where she stands on healthcare. While, she has shied away from explicitly endorsing a government-run healthcare system, Brown has talked about a public health approach and expanding Medicare in ways that leave the door open for single-payer support.

Despite Brown’s past ambiguity on the issue, she owes it to Washington voters to give them a straight answer on where she stands on the $32 trillion experiment that is government-run healthcare.

“Lisa Brown owes Washington voters an answer on whether or not she would hike their taxes to pay for a costly government-run healthcare experiment. Brown must not think highly of the 5th District if she thinks she can win general election support without giving a straight answer on this issue.”- RNC Spokesperson Patrick McCann
