Biden is starting his presidency as one of the most partisan in history, exposing his campaign pledge to reach across the aisle as another empty promise.
In the early hours of the morning, in a vote strictly on party lines, the Senate adopted Bernie Sanders’ budget resolution necessary to force through a partisan bill using the Biden supported reconciliation process.
Adopted, 51-50: S.Con.Res.5, Sanders Budget Resolution, as amended, with @VP voting in the affirmative.

And along the way, Senate Democrats rejected amendments on extending tax cuts for individuals and small businesses, opening schools, enforcing immigration law, protecting freedom of religion, encouraging cooperation between federal and local law enforcement, calling for accountability on nursing home deaths (cc. Gov. Cuomo), and against packing the Supreme Court.
Biden’s extreme partisan approach is not only alienating Republicans, but even members of his own party are calling him out for being “strictly partisan.”

"Biden's advisers have led him wrong to start out in a strictly partisan direction. We should have found something that we could have voted on bipartisan first and then gone down this lane when we hit a roadblock, and they didn't do that”

In fact, some of the few bipartisan votes rebuked Biden’s war on American energy and his call to increase the small-business crushing federal wage mandate during a pandemic. Looks like Biden is even too partisan for Senate Democrats!
Keystone XL amendment supporting the pipeline narrowly passes the chamber by a 52-48 vote.

Democratic @Sen_JoeManchin and @jontester join Republican in support of the project.
Biden promised bipartisanship and unity, but it turns out he meant that if you don’t adopt his agenda, you will be forced out of the way. So far, his administration is one of division that places far-left special interest groups ahead of the prosperity of the American people.
