This Picture Says It All...

RNC Communications - August 8, 2012

It was a particularly rough day for Team Obama and this picture of Bill Burton on CNN says it all. He got schooled. Here’s what we know… Cutter and Psaki spent the day lying to the press corps denying the campaign had any knowledge of Joe Soptic’s family story until audio of a May 14th OFA call with Joe Spotic and moderated by Stef Cutter surfaced. On the call Soptic told the exact story he told in the Priorities USA ad. Ben LaBolt then tried to play clean-up absurdly denying anyone on the campaign tried to distance Team Obama from the OFA ad and Mr. Soptic.

The hypocrisy in all of this? President Obama has promised to change Washington and be different, calling on candidates to own up to outside groups – like Priorities USA – for expenditures on their behalf. We’ll see what tomorrow brings but clearly Cutter and Psaki have some answering to do…

WHAT WE KNOW:

  • Cutter Lied On CNN:
    • Cutter On CNN: “I don’t know the facts about when Joe Soptic’s wife got sick or when she died”
