Democrat Family Feud
Entitlement Spending - September 30, 2013
Today, Senate Democrats Are Expected To Again Threaten A Government Shutdown By Rejecting Any Delay Or Change To ObamaCare. "The bill now moves back to the Senate, where Reid is expected to scrap the two healthcare amendments with a single vote on Monday, when the Senate returns, and return the "clean" CR, yet again, to Boehner and House Republicans. CBO Confirms: Obama’s Current Debt Path Is Unsustainable, Entitlements Must Be Reformed
Entitlement Spending - September 17, 2013

With such large deficits, federal debt would be growing faster than GDP, a path that would ultimately be unsustainable.” ... Continue Reading »

If the two Social Security trust funds were combined by Congress, the trust funds would continue to pay benefits until 2033.” (Damian Paletta and Louise Radnofsky, “Medicare Trustees Dial Back Funding Concerns,” The Wall Street Journal, 5/31/13)... Putting The Pedal To The Metal
Entitlement Spending - November 28, 2012
FLASHBACK: Obama Said "If We Want To Get Serious About Fiscal Discipline … We Will Also Have To Get Serious About Entitlement Reform." OBAMA: "Along with defense and interest on the national debt, the biggest cost drivers in our budget are entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security -- all of which get more and more expensive every year. So if we want to get serious about fiscal discipline, and I do, then we're going to not only have to trim waste out of our discretionary budget -- which we've already begun -- we will also have to get serious about entitlement reform."...
