EPA Regulations

The ever-expanding EPA consistently pushes unnecessary regulations on the energy sector of America. These regulations impose tens of billions of dollars in new costs on American businesses and consumers. With a constant stream of new rules, the EPA causes uncertainty in the energy market and discourages new investments in energy innovation. Republicans oppose “sue and settle” lawsuits where special interest groups dictate new regulatory measures and expand the Agency’s activities.

- May 30, 2014

Next week President Obama is expected to roll out another wave of destructive EPA regulations that a recent study says would cost the economy 224,000 jobs and $51 billion EACH YEAR. Economic growth has remained weak in no small part due to this Administration’s excessive regulation, so why are President Obama and the Democrats piling on with even more after the economy contracted for the first time in 3 years? Clearly the President is more concerned with cementing his legacy with liberal environmentalists than growing the economy, but he is also putting Democrats like liberal Congressman Gary Peters in the line of fire....
