“Unflappable” Judge Barrett Leaves Frustrated Dems No Fodder For Attacks

Democrats’ Desperate And False Attacks On Judge Barrett Have Shown They Have No Real Reason To Oppose Her As Americans Increasingly Support Her Nomination

DEMOCRATS’ INEFFECTIVE ATTACKS ON JUDGE BARRETT’S NOMINATION HAVE FLOPPED

The Senate Judiciary Committee will meet at 9AM today to mark up the nomination of Judge Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Lindsay Graham scheduled a vote for this morning as well but Democrats are expected to use their power under the committee rules to delay the vote for one week.

CNN’s Manu Raju said that “Americans should expect to hear a lot of criticism from Democrats about this truncated processes.”

This is unlikely to be effective as thus far Democrats’ process arguments “have failed to sway public opinion.”

JUDGE BARRETT IS WINNING OVER THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, AS SUPPORT FOR HER CONFIRMATION HAS SURGED 11% SINCE PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCED HER NOMINATION IN DECEMBER

Americans now support Judge Barrett’s Supreme Court confirmation by a 17-point margin.

A new Morning Consult/Politico poll shows 48% percent of registered voters support Judge Barrett’s confirmation, up 2% from just a week prior.

Support for Judge Barrett has increased by 11 points since President Trump announced her nomination in September.

Judge Barrett is even winning over Democrats, nearly a quarter of Democrats polled think the Senate should vote to confirm Barrett as soon as possible.

UNABLE TO FIND ANY LEGITIMATE CRITICISM OF JUDGE BARRETT, DEMOCRATS HAVE TURNED TO GIVING CAMPAIGN SPEECHES FROM THE DAIS

Barrett’s positive polling is a “warning sign” for Senate Democrats whose criticism of Judge Barrett’s nomination process have fallen flat.

With little chance of derailing the confirmation, Democrats instead have used the hearings to amplify their pitch to voters.

Judge Barrett “frustrated Democrats” in their attempts to make her confirmation hearings about their own legislative priorities rather than her fitness to serve as a Supreme Court Justice. 

Politico: “Barrett rarely, if ever, tripped up as she faced questions from Democrats.”

Judge Barrett was “absolutely unflappable” during questioning from the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Judge Barrett, “not prone to being flustered or flubbing her arguments,” pushed back on Democrat Senators with a consistent message that she is not going to single-handedly reshape life in America.

JUDGE BARRETT “MADE NO MISTAKES” AS SHE ANSWERED HOURS OF LONG SCRIPTED QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTES IN AN “IMPRESSIVE” DISPLAY OF LEGAL EXPERTISE 

During 20 hours of grilling from Senators, many of whom read questions from extensive notes, Judge Barrett used no notes of her own. 

Judge Barrett repeatedly recited details of past cases and historical references off the top of her head in response to long, scripted questions.

CNN’s Dana Bash said that Barrett’s choice to testify without notes is “impressive to Republicans and Democrats.”

Judge Barrett “rarely, if ever, tripped up as she faced questions from Democrats.”

Barrett’s detailed recall of legal of her extensive legal record was “incredible.”

Editor of National Review, Rich Lowry: Judge Barrett “made no mistakes, easily swatted away dubious arguments and avoided traps.”

Even Senate Judiciary Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein admitted she was “really impressed” with Judge Barrett’s testimony.
