Bill Nelson might FINALLY start campaigning a month after his race officially began. He’s been using taxpayer funds to make himself seen around the state, under the guise of being on “official business,” and having local democratic groups send invites to official events.
Nelson has said, "I've always run every race like there's no tomorrow – regardless of my opponent.” Except he hasn’t. He’s been called the Loser of the Week by the Tampa Bay Times for barely running a campaign. Instead of running hard, he seems to still be running scared “as a jackrabbit.”
The Tampa Bay Times just reported that he’ll be in Orlando on Saturday, but with his track record, I’m sure he’ll take off to Mars instead. I was beginning to think Nelson had some sort of strategy up his sleeve, but now we know he’s simply running scared. That won’t work this cycle, Bill.
“It’s blatantly clear Senator Nelson has no desire to be a leader for Floridians in Washington. Since his campaign kickoff, Nelson has been MIA and refuses to give straight answers on important topics Floridians care about. It’s obvious Nelson is just playing politics because he’s fearful of losing his reelection.” –RNC Spokesperson Taryn Fenske
