DNC Chair Tom Perez, call your
office leadership on the hill.
In an effort to spin today’s employment numbers as best they can, Rep. Pelosi has a statement out saying the report shows Americans are “being left behind,” while Sen. Schumer calls it “disappointing.”
Seems like someone forgot to tell Tom Perez this news though.
DNC Chair Perez praised the jobs numbers as “steady growth” and show how “President Obama’s bold policies and long-term economic investments are still paying off.”
Dear Democrats, is today’s jobs report a good one for which we should praise President Obama? Or is it not so good and President Trump is to blame? I’m confused. Maybe this is just another case of more Democrat division?
Of course, the truth is that today’s job report was another solid one:
- 156,000 more jobs added (over 1.2 million private sector jobs since January)
- Big boosts to the construction and manufacturing sectors
- A historically low unemployment rate
Today's jobs report showing slower job growth and stagnant wages is disappointing.— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) September 1, 2017
