  • On January 7, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention established a coronavirus incident management system to provide support for the government's coronavirus response.
    • The CDC has issued guidance for healthcare professionals to assess exposure to the virus and to evaluate individuals.
    • The CDC has also developed a test which will allow state and local labs to diagnose the virus.
