Where have we seen this before?

Steve Guest - January 31, 2020

Before Democrats like Adam Schiff were trying to use John Bolton to advance their political agenda, they were railing against him for his “lack of credibility.”

In 2018, Schiff criticized Bolton for “his proclivity to act without thinking, and his love of conspiracy theories,” Fox News discovered.

Even The New York Times editorial board has questioned Bolton’s credibility: “It is hard to see Mr. Bolton acting as an honest broker.”

So while Democrats race to use another New York Times story that contains no actual quotes from Bolton’s manuscript to attack President Trump, not even a comment from the author himself, this drip, drip, drip reeks of the same playbook the media used to baselessly smear Brett Kavanaugh.

In the weeks leading up to Kavanaugh’s confirmation, bogus allegations were picked up by the media to not only smear Kavanaugh’s good name but also President Trump.

The same thing is happening now with the Democrats’ partisan impeachment. These selective leaks are nothing more than the last gasps from those bent on #resistance.

If John Bolton is auditioning for his next contributorship, I hope things go better for him than Michael Avenatti.
