In case you missed it, Asian American Pacific Islanders United held a protest in front of Jay Chen’s office over his racist attacks on Congresswoman Michelle Steel. Nearly 50 protesters marched in front of Chen’s office and held signs in Vietnamese, Korean and English that denounced his egregious comments.
Volunteers noted that for the entire time they were marching, no one came in or out of Chen’s office. In fact, residents in the area also made mention of the fact that his office has been vacant for at least the past week. That’s a good way to avoid responsibility for the shameful comments made. It also begs the question, what kind of campaign is Jay Chen running if he can’t even be bothered to be in his office?
