In case you missed it, the Republican National Committee (RNC) is making key
investments in the New Jersey gubernatorial race focused on election
integrity and voter turnout ahead of November.
Recent polling shows New Jersey wants change with more than half of voters saying the state is
on the wrong track, and 63% saying they want New Jersey to go “in a
different direction.” New Jersey has been trending to the right in recent years,
swinging 9 points towards Republicans in last year’s
presidential election compared to 2020. Mikie Sherrill would be a rubber stamp
and a continuation of Murphy’s and radical Democrats’ policies that would keep
moving the state in the wrong direction.
An NBC News article today outlined the RNC’s
efforts saying:
“...the
committee ‘has been on the ground in New Jersey for months, making investments
to safeguard election integrity and mobilize voters.’
“The committee has organized volunteer poll workers and attorneys, sent out
‘get-out-the-vote’ texts and emails, and sued over the state’s voter rolls and
a county’s ballot design. The Ciattarelli campaign and the state GOP are also
using the RNC’s ‘VotePro’ digital mobilization tool to target voters with
specific messages.
“Bernards Township Mayor Janice Fields, one of New Jersey’s RNC members,
said the national party engagement is a marked shift from Ciattarelli’s 2021
race.
“‘The difference is [Ciattarelli] doesn’t have to ask. They’re asking him,
‘What can I do to help?’ Fields said.”
