Katie Hobbs Ghosts The Arizona Press

Commentary

Katie Hobbs is ghosting the Arizona press in the wake of her $2.75 million racial discrimination scandal.

From AZFamily: Hobbs has largely ignored the local press, routinely declining interview requests from Arizona's Family. Her campaign did not immediately respond to our request for comment on this story.”

It’s become a pattern. Hobbs and her campaign have regularly refused to do interviews or answer questions on the record, including from AZFamily HERE and HERE, the Arizona Republic HERE and HERE, FOX 10 HERE, ABC 15 HERE, Capitol Media Services HERE and more.

The last time Hobbs was seen, she popped up on the Peacock streaming service for a “a softball question at the tail end of a friendly interview.” Hobbs changed her tune significantly, but there was no follow-up question from Peacock.

Hobbs has also disappeared from public view. She hasn’t posted about a single public in-person appearance since November 11 — days before news broke of the $2.75 million racial discrimination verdict.

Katie Hobbs has been called out for her hypocrisy. From the Arizona Agenda: “…it’s also worth pointing back to Hobbs’ platform of transparency and ‘accountability’ […] Hobbs is still dodging other reporters, including those at the Republic — that’s a far cry from transparent.”

Bottom Line: Katie Hobbs’ disappearing act is a sign of her dysfunctional campaign imploding. Every day Hobbs hides from reporters and the public, she is losing credibility. Hobbs’ racial discrimination saga proves her claims of “transparency” and “accountability” are a complete joke.
