If you’re looking for a prime example of true hypocrisy, look no further than Tim Ryan. The Democrat candidate’s campaign is actively using the Chinese operated social media application Tik Tok to promote Ryan’s posturing on China.
It’s an interesting move for Ryan to utilize an application owned by the Chinese corporation ByteDance, which is notorious for sharing its user data on United States citizens with China, to blast the communist regime. Cyber experts are still uncertain of how much data China has stolen from users on TikTok.
Sadly, none of this alarming information seems to concern Ryan, whose Tik Tok account remains active despite the numerous warnings about China’s use of the app to gain intelligence on U.S. citizens.
For someone who has bloviated about how China is encircling us, Ryan sure turns a blind eye to Beijing's spying on his cellphone, his work as a congressman in Washington, and the personal information of millions of Americans.
Bottom Line: Tim Ryan’s tough talk on China means nothing if he’s potentially giving the Chinese government access to his campaign in exchange for fun filters on Tik Tok.
