Katie Hobbs reversed her support for ending Title 42 yesterday in a statement to CNN. Just weeks prior, Hobbs endorsed Joe Biden’s move to lift Title 42.

Title 42 allows CBP agents to efficiently process and expel illegal immigrants. Homeland Security and law enforcement officials warn ending Title 42 will trigger a “mass migration event” bringing up to 18,000 illegal immigrant apprehensions a day. Officials say it would cause devastating public safety and humanitarian consequences.
