During his
first statewide campaign, Roy Cooper lied
in
his political ads and was sued for
defamation. He even had to pay his Republican opponent $75,000 and issue a
formal apology.
Furthering
the corruption concerns, Cooper served as the
North Carolina State Bar’s own attorney, and the complaint seeking an
independent ethics investigation was dismissed.
Cooper also
lied about:
- Keeping
North Carolina safe, when he actually released
over 4,000 criminals from prison, turned North
Carolina into a sanctuary for criminal illegal aliens, pushed to
send social workers to 911 calls through his “equity” task force, and appointed
soft-on-crime judges who let violent criminals off the
hook.
- Making
stuff cost less, when he actually oversaw higher health
care costs, energy
costs,
housing
costs, and
grocery
bills.
- Being
a moderate, when he actually supports forcing
men into girls’ sports and bathrooms, stripping
parents’ rights, and irreversible
sex change surgeries for kids.
- Republicans’
efforts to fight waste, fraud, and abuse, when he actually oversaw nearly
$50 million in fraudulent unemployment
payments - including to illegal aliens.
