Democrats Demanded Proof of Vaccination. Now They Oppose Photo ID to Vote.

For years, Democrat politicians pushed vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, and verification systems that required Americans to prove their status to work, travel, dine out, and participate in everyday life.

But showing an ID to vote? That's where they draw the line.

Examples of Democrats who backed vaccine mandates, passports, and verification requirements—but oppose voter ID, proof of citizenship, or the SAVE America Act:

• Abdul El-Sayed mocked police officers who resisted COVID vaccine mandates, but opposes photo ID to vote. 
• Roy Cooper required state employees to show proof of COVID vaccination, but opposes commonsense election safeguards.  
• Tom Suozzi pushed COVID vaccine mandates, but voted against the SAVE America Act. 
• James Talarico urged compliance with COVID mandates, but opposed legislation to stop noncitizens from voting. 
• Gavin Newsom created a digital vaccine verification system, but says the SAVE America Act is "voter suppression." 
• J.B. Pritzker backed proof-of-vaccination requirements, but opposed proof-of-citizenship to register to vote.
• Joe Biden supported vaccine mandates nationwide, but opposed stopping noncitizens from voting in our elections.
