When Elizabeth Warren said she wanted to “shut down” all pro-life pregnancy centers, it appears Gretchen Whitmer was listening.
This week Whitmer vetoed millions of dollars from Michigan’s state budget that would have gone to crisis pregnancy centers and other organizations that help provide women with an alternative to abortion, including those that promote adoption. To add insult to injury, Whitmer also dishonestly and divisively slandered crisis pregnancy centers as “ fake health centers.”
Someone should ask Whitmer what she finds so objectionable about the roughly 3,000 crisis pregnancy centers across America? Is it that they provide expectant mothers with compassion, care, along with free baby food and clothes? Or is just that they don’t push the Democrat Party’s position of unlimited taxpayer-funded abortion up to the moment of birth?
