In case you missed it, Paige Cognetti is under fire after newly resurfaced footage revealed that, as Mayor, she targeted Scranton churchgoers and religious services in 2020.
Keep in mind that Pennsylvania’s stay at home order operated with a state-wide religious exemption at the time.
Despite the religious exemption, Cognetti threatened to send police to shut down any Easter services in violation of the First Amendment and state and federal guidelines. She even went as far as to encourage neighbors to report each other.
“Paige Cognetti should remember that the internet is forever, which means voters can see exactly how she abused her authority in 2020. She admitted she didn’t have the power to shut these services down and did it anyway.
