ICYMI: Incomes Rose to Record Highs as Poverty Fell

Commentary

Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts Act passed by Congresswoman Jen Kiggans and Congressman Rob Wittman, U.S. household income rose to a record high last year as the poverty rate fell to one of the lowest levels ever recorded.

Here are the highlights

  • Inflation adjusted income increased to $87,460

  • Poverty fell to 10.2%

  • Hispanic and child poverty hit record lows

  • Women made the largest year-over-year gains in the male:female income ratio

"Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, Congressman Rob Wittman, and Republicans are delivering for Virginians after years of Democrat neglect and Bidenflation. If given the chance, Democrats would reverse all this progress and cripple the economy once again." - RNC Spokeswoman Emma Hall
