Katie Hobbs paid prominent Democrat lawyer Marc Elias’ law firm for legal counsel on her $2.75 million racial discrimination case.
Hobbs’ campaign admitted today it spent at least $28,000 so far defending Hobbs from two federal jury verdicts that found her former staffer Talonya Adams was the victim of racial discrimination. This new information is a sign Hobbs and her political operation were panicking internally about the discrimination rulings.
Hobbs’ racial discrimination saga has also cost taxpayers at least $415,000 in legal bills so far.
Katie Hobbs has struggled to put the racial discrimination story behind her. The saga has even attracted national coverage from CNN, NPR and The Atlantic recently.
“Katie Hobbs has wasted enormous sums of taxpayer money after she racially discriminated against a staffer and left the public on the hook for the bill. Hobbs belongs nowhere near the Ninth Floor.” – RNC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
