RNC Spotlights Local Milwaukee Businesses at Convention Partner Fair

Commentary

Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC), MKE 2024 Host Committee, and VISIT Milwaukee hosted a “Convention Partner Fair” in Milwaukee in conjunction with the RNC Summer Meeting and the first Republican presidential primary debate.

"The Republican National Committee is proud to spotlight Milwaukee’s fabulous local businesses along with their world-class service and products, which will help make the 2024 Convention our greatest, yet. Our partnerships in Wisconsin could not be stronger, and we are thrilled to showcase all that the Cream City has to offer.” -- RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel

The Convention Partner Fair provided critical exposure for local businesses to delegates, state party representatives, donors, national media organizations, and others who will contract various vendors during the 2024 Convention.

“The 2024 Republican National Convention is eager to highlight the many Milwaukee businesses who have welcomed us with open arms and are serving as incredible partners every step of the way. We are excited to give the entire country an up-close view of what makes Milwaukee the perfect city for a five-star convention.” -- COA Chairwoman Anne Hathaway

Partner Fair vendors showcased their products and samples at booths and interacted with attendees from across the country.

“The Republican National Convention has the opportunity to transform Milwaukee and the support the community is showing for this convention proves we’re ready to be great hosts next year. The Convention Partner Fair is a small sample of what’s to come when delegates travel to Milwaukee in 2024.” -- MKE 2024 Host Committee Chairman Reince Priebus

In a stark contrast to the 2019 DNC vendor fair that only showcased around 85 businesses, enthusiasm for the opportunity was high, with 300 vendors participating in the showcase.

“This vendor fair is a great connection between local businesses and the delegations that will be part of the 2024 Republican National Convention. This is a big step forward in building up our local small businesses so that they can participate next year and in future years as more conventions and events choose Milwaukee.” -- Mayor Cavalier Johnson

The 2024 Convention will attract upwards of 50,000 visitors to Milwaukee and will undoubtedly create a significant and positive economic impact for the community, both short- and long-term.

“We’re thrilled that the talents and offerings of hundreds of Milwaukee’s hospitality and tourism-related businesses will be on display to Summer Meeting attendees and meeting planners alike through the Convention Partner Fair. This is yet another example of the impact the 2024 Republican National Convention will have on our community, and this is just the beginning.” -- VISIT Milwaukee President and CEO Peggy Williams-Smith
