Paxton Protecting the Texas Promise

Nobody has taken on special interests and consistently fought to lower costs for hardworking Texans as much as Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Today, Paxton unveiled his economic plan to take on the Washington establishment, protect the Texas promise, and preserve the American Dream.

The four pillars of Paxton's economic plan are: 

• Landmark Tax Relief on All Healthcare Expenses: $25,000 tax deduction for all out-of-pocket medical expenses, including healthcare premiums, for individuals and an additional $25,000 tax deduction for each individual dependent
• Historic Down Payment Deduction: $50,000 deduction for first-time homebuyers and subsequent $50,000 down payment deduction if you move to a new primary residence
• Healthy Living Tax Deduction: $5,000 tax deduction for spending related to developing a healthy lifestyle, including workout and gym expenses, nutrition plans, GLP-1 medications, and sports activities for dependents
• Making the Trump Accounts Permanent and Doubling the Child Tax Credit: A historic investment to give the next generation the financial foundation to start a business, go to college, or buy a home when they graduate high school
