Republican State Party Leaders Recognize Chairman Gruters’ Year of Leadership

Commentary

Hi there,

One year ago today, Joe Gruters was elected Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Since then, he’s worked alongside President Trump to set Republicans up for success in the midterms and beyond; supercharging our war chest, strengthening election integrity, and supporting Republican candidates up and down the ballot.

RNC Year in Review:

  • The RNC is sitting on the largest war chest in party history, raising $19 million in July and peaking its cash on hand at $130 million.
    • The Supreme Court agreed to hear the RNC's case defending Arizona proof of citizenship and the principle that only American citizens can vote in American elections.
    • Stopped New York City's attempt to give 800,000 noncitizens the ability to vote.
    • Launched the largest-ever voter roll records initiative in RNC history across 48 states.
  • The RNC has shattered previous poll worker recruitment efforts in 22 states.
  • The RNC has organized the first-ever Republican Midterm Convention that will be open to the public for the first time in history.
  • Through its State Party Strategy program, the RNC is incentivizing state parties to expand their political, communications, and finance operations to win more down ballot races.

  • Chairman Gruters has traveled to 7 battleground states to support our strong slate of Republican candidates and drive voter turnout.

“Under the leadership of President Trump and Chairman Gruters, the RNC has built a massive war chest, expanded election integrity efforts to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat, and put our candidates in the best position possible to win. Republicans are united behind the President’s America First agenda, and we will defy history by protecting our majorities in November.” – Natalie Baldassarre, RNC National Press Secretary
