Talarico Ignores Rape Victim's Pleas to Stop "Lying"

Commentary

How desperate is James Talarico to distract from the fact that he voted three different times to let child rapists out of jail without bail?

So desperate that he is willing to politicize and lie about a child sex abuse victim in a new ad attacking Attorney General Ken Paxton.

As a reminder:

  • Melissa Dietrrich, the victim's family spokesperson, previously called out Talarico for lying and using a tragic situation for political gain
  • When Talarico claimed he spoke to the family and is speaking on their behalf, Dieterich called out his lies saying, "We have not given any statement to Talarico. We have not spoke to him"
  • Dieterich went on to say the family is "tired of being used in this election" and "tired of the lies"
  • Talarico callously explained why he continued to politicize the case by saying "the victim is not the issue here"

"James Talarico is a truly sick man if he is willing to lie about a child sex abuse victim in his quest for power. He must be asked why he is continuing to ignore the desperate pleas of a family that has been through hell." - RNC spokesman Zach Kraft
