WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel named Ambassador Kelly Craft (Ret.) and Joseph Craft III to the RNC’s Finance Leadership Team and to serve as Co-Chairs of the Presidential Trust.
The Crafts will work with RNC Chairwoman McDaniel and RNC Finance Chair Ambassador “Duke” Buchan III (Ret.) to continue growing the Party, strengthening its infrastructure, and raising the necessary resources to power Republican candidates up and down the ballot to victory.
“As the RNC continues to expand our fundraising efforts, I am thrilled to announce that Duke and I have asked Kelly and Joe Craft to head the Presidential Trust,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. "With their leadership both in public service and the private sector, we are confident the Crafts will help us continue to grow our Party and raise the necessary funds to deliver Republican victories up and down the ballot in just 10 short months.”
“The Crafts are great Republicans and longtime generous supporters of the RNC,” said Ambassador Duke Buchan. “I look forward to working with them this year as we elect as many Republicans as possible in November. The Presidential Trust is an important piece of our broader fundraising efforts.”
“Our country is at a critical point in history where it is necessary for conservative leadership to return to the White House, win back the Senate, and expand our House majority. Preserving the American Dream for all and strengthening our nation’s security is dependent upon Republican victories in the fall,” said Kelly and Joe Craft. “We are honored to co-chair the Presidential Trust to ensure the integrity of our elections and to bolster a nationwide infrastructure for Republican candidates.”
Ambassador Craft was confirmed by the United States Senate as Ambassador to Canada (2017-2019) and as Ambassador to the United Nations (2019-2021). Through her steadfast leadership, Ambassador Craft worked to affirm America’s standing on the world stage and champion the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
Joe Craft is the President and CEO of Alliance Resource Partners, L.P., the largest coal producer in the eastern United States. In addition to serving as the former Chairman of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Craft serves as Director of the National Mining Association, Director and former Chairman of America’s Power, and as a Director of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
Joe and Kelly Craft are both native Kentuckians and graduates from the University of Kentucky. Ambassador Craft holds an Honorary Doctorate from Morehead State University and Mr. Craft earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kentucky.
