WASHINGTON D.C. – Yesterday, Republican
National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley delivered remarks at a
Protect the Vote training event in Lodi, New Jersey to highlight the
critically important role poll workers play in ensuring elections are run properly
and accurately.
His remarks followed the
RNC filing a lawsuit against the New Jersey Division of
Elections for failing to
produce records – as
required by law – on the state’s voter rolls and the integrity of the state’s
voting machines. Chairman Whatley emphasized the need for transparency after NJ officials refused to provide
access. He reiterated that the citizens of New Jersey have the right to know
that their elections are being run securely.
