Chairwoman McDaniel: People Are Hungering For Republican Policies Right Now
INGRAHAM: Ronna, the Angle has been emphasizing the theme of no state left behind. That every state has to be treated like it matters and like conservatism is the answer policy wise for the people. This seems to have been kind of adopted by the RNC in the races that you've supported to incredible success, at least thus far.
CHAIRWOMAN MCDANIEL: Well, you and I talked early last year and you said this: no state left behind, no family left behind. And we really did need to expand the map. And so the RNC has made the largest investment. But we’re in places like Rhode Island, and Connecticut, and Oregon, and Washington, and Illinois - where we need to be long term as a Party because people are hungering for Republican policies right now. They're hurting under these Democrat, crazy, wacko policies. So, we have to invest in these states. But the RNC has done it, and I know a lot of it came from a conversation you and I had two years ago.
INGRAHAM: Yeah, so no state left behind means that these policies of American renewal, I call it populist conservatism, you know, the border matters, trade matters, being tough on China. All the issues people are gravitating toward, the economy and crime. It works for everybody. It's not like it just works for Mississippi or Alabama, it works for Connecticut, New Hampshire – certainly works in places like Arizona.
CHAIRWOMAN MCDANIEL: Totally. And you know, when I was Michigan Chair in 2016, Michigan had been flyover country for thirty years. And then this candidate came along named Donald Trump and he came to our state. He went to Detroit, he went to Flint, and he said I’m not gonna fly over these Midwest states anymore. But now we need to do it everywhere.
