Chairwoman McDaniel: The Number One Issue in Polling is the Economy and Inflation
FAULKNER: High prices are hitting the hardest in some of the biggest Senate battlegrounds now. Phoenix, Arizona, where Democrat Senator Mark Kelly is up against Republican Blake Masters; in Atlanta, Georgia, where Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock faces Herschel Walker; in Miami, Florida, Republican Senator Marco Rubio versus Congresswoman Val Demings. And vulnerable Democrats are silent over the latest inflation report after previously claiming that the Inflation Reduction Act would actually reduce it. We will slow scroll all those names that Fox reached out to. 25 members of Congress, all whom declined to respond - just completely silent. What, nobody wants to defend the Inflation Reduction Act today?
CHAIRWOMAN MCDANIEL: Yeah, they are hiding, right? It's crickets out there. You know, people are really hurting, Harris. And I say this all the time. This is the number one issue we're seeing in our polling: the economy and inflation. But Republicans have to finish the sentence, right. We can't just say inflation. We have to explain that people are paying more for eggs, for milk, for rent, for insurance, for car insurance. It is death by a thousand cuts for a family who is getting hit at every single level, and their budget is taking a beating, and they’re wondering how am I going to make ends meet. It is not just gas anymore, it's everything. And Democrat policies caused this and these candidates know this. And so we need to make sure that we're making clear to the voter this happened because of Joe Biden and Democrats who voted to overstimulate the economy. And, Instead of helping the American family right now they said let's put 87,000 I.R.S. agents on the street, that’s what we need to do.
