Chairman Gruters on How
Republicans will Defy History and Win the Midterms:
“Only four times in the
last 150 years has the incumbent party been able to hold onto the majorities,
but we have no option, we have no other choice – we have to win…
“We can win by focusing on
the President and all the great things that he’s done… He’s the best showman
that the Party has ever had. He’s willing to barnstorm the country…
“We’re going to… get out
there and do what we can to convince these low propensity voters… to come out
for these Congressional and U.S. Senate candidates across the board because
ultimately, we know what the Democrats are going to do…”
Chairman Gruters on
Democrats’ Playbook of Shutdowns and Obstruction:
“[Democrats] are going to
do exactly what they did in the [government] shutdown. They’re going to hold
the government hostage; they’re going to block the President and all the
momentum he’s been able to build…
“[Democrats] are going to
investigate. They’re going to obstruct. And they’re going to impeach. And so
that’s why we have to win. That’s why we’re working around the clock. We’re
going to do whatever we have to do to make sure we’re successful in November...”

Importance of a Strong Grassroots Ground Game:
“You can only be
successful as a Chairman if you focus on the basics and the fundamentals, and
that’s registering voters, getting voters out, and then of course now
election integrity...
“We have people deployed
right now across the country – both from a grassroots standpoint and an
election integrity standpoint – as we build up to get ready for the midterms.
“We will be prepared; we
will make sure that we have the people in place that will allow us to turn
out our voters to make sure that we can have a chance art defying history in
November…”
