WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican
National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley wrote an op-ed featured in The Daily Caller underscoring the
importance of passing President Trump’s One, Big, Beautiful Bill. In the
article, Chairman Whatley emphasizes that this bill is exactly what the
American people voted for.
“Since Day One, President Trump has been hard at work defending the best
interests of the United States on every level. Now, it is time for Congress to
step in and help President Trump get his ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ across the
finish line. This bill would deliver what President Trump and Republicans
promised and set up Americans for a future of prosperity.
“The One, Big, Beautiful Bill would provide much needed
relief to everyday Americans. It would stop the largest
tax hike in U.S. history and make the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts
permanent. This means that middle-class Americans would pay about 15% less in taxes and it will keep President Trump’s
promises of No
Tax on Tips and No
Tax on Overtime. Take home pay for families would
increase by roughly
$13,000, the
average overtime worker would get a tax cut of up
to $1,750 a year, and it will deliver historic
tax cuts for
seniors on
Social Security. This is truly the most pro-worker, pro-family, and
pro-American bills presented before Congress.”
Chairman Whatley also highlights that this bill provides more than just
financial relief for everyday Americans.
“Americans will benefit from this bill more than just financially. The One,
Big, Beautiful Bill will permanently secure our border, unleash American
energy, protect our national security, and restore common sense to the
government. President Trump’s bill will also deliver the largest deficit
reduction in nearly 30 years, $1.6 trillion in mandatory savings.”
Despite the undeniable benefits of passing the One, Big, Beautiful Bill,
Chairman Whatley points out that every single Democrat in Congress has either
voted against it or has promised to do so.
“There is really no way the Democrats can defend opposing
this bill, yet every
single one in the
House voted
against it and every
single one in the Senate has already
committed to opposing it.”
As Chairman Whatley posted on X,
“Let’s get it done.”
