National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley joined Fox News' 'My View,' hosted by
former RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump.
Whatley and Trump discussed how the RNC is working closely with the
White House to promote President Trump's agenda, the RNC’s election
integrity program, the 2026 midterms, and their time working together in
2024 to elect President Trump.

Between Republicans And Democrats
“The Republican
Party is talking to the voters, and we’re talking to them about the issues that
they care about. Think about family, think about community. Right now, the
Democratic Party is in free fall. They absolutely are rudderless, they’re
leaderless. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, they were terrible messengers. But
they had a terrible message. They are really the party right now of
inflationary spending, waste, fraud, and abuse, open borders, and a weak
America. All they’re doing is doubling down on the same failed agenda that they
just ran on.”
The RNC’s
Election Integrity Program In 2024 And Going Forward
“Before voting
started, we needed to make sure that we were in the room with attorneys and
volunteers and poll workers any time a vote was cast or counted. And then we
needed to communicate that. We needed everybody to understand that their vote
was going to be protected. … That needs to be a bedrock foundation of the RNC
going forward. The four key principles that we see are that only American
citizens can vote, you have to have voter ID, states need to clean up their
voter rolls, and you want basic protections for mail-in ballots. The Democrats
are fighting us on all of those. The American people want them. We are going to
keep this program up and running, and it’s going to be a critical part of
everything we do going forward.”
The 2026
Midterms
“I feel like
we’ve got a very real opportunity here. So the Senate map feels pretty good. …
We’ve got great pickup opportunities in places like New Hampshire and Georgia
and Michigan. The House, it’s too close. … We need a better majority to be able
to work with the President and his team on the legislative agenda going
forward. Speaker Johnson and Senator Thune are doing fantastic jobs with the
narrow margins that they have, but we need to be able to expand it.”
Working
Seamlessly With President Trump
"What we want to do is make sure that we are seamless
with the President. We're here to support his agenda, we're here to support his
candidates. Obviously we want to win in the midterms, that’s going to be
absolutely essential for it."
