THE MAIN THING: Brnovich vs. DNC, a Milestone Victory for Election Integrity

In a 6-3 decision authored by Justice Samuel Alito, the Supreme Court saw right through Democrat lies, affirming Republican efforts to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat. The RNC worked closely with the Arizona Republican Party, NRSC, and NRCC to secure this victory, providing legal expertise and the resources to hire top-tier, specialist Supreme Court advocates.

• Chairwoman McDaniel said, “Today's United States Supreme Court ruling is a resounding victory for election integrity and the rule of law. Democrats were attempting to make Arizona ballots less secure for political gain, and the Court saw right through their partisan lies. In Arizona and across the nation, states know best how to manage their own elections.” 

Despite Democrats' push for federal takeover of elections, New York City had to retract their newly published vote totals after conceding they counted 135,000 fake ballots. 

• Yet Biden is weaponizing the Justice Department to sue Georgia for enacting a commonsense election integrity law that Georgians support and say increases confidence in their election system.

 

 

100 Days of Failure: Biden-Harris Border Crisis

 

This week, Kamala Harris passed 100 days as border czar. After more than 3 months of complete failure, she is still not listening to the Americans who need Biden to reverse course on the open border policies that created his deadly border crisis.

• In April and May alone: 
  • The total amount of fentanyl captured by the CBP so far in 2021 surpassed the total in all of 2020. 
  • 52,662 migrants that illegally crossed were released into the United States.
  • 358,888 migrants were caught trying to illegally cross the border.

RNC Communications Director Danielle Alvarez said, “Over the last 100 days, if Kamala Harris had wanted to address the root causes of the Biden border crisis, all she had to do was simply walk down the hall to the Oval Office. It is the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies and failed leadership that have caused this crisis, and as a result, our communities are less safe, drugs are pouring into our country and criminal activity at our southern border runs rampant. While Democrats in Washington fail to protect the American people they were elected to serve, Republican leaders are stepping up to address the crisis and put Americans first.”
 

Another Disappointing Jobs Report

Another month, another disappointing jobs report under Joe Biden.

• The unemployment rate rose in June to 5.9%. This is the second time the unemployment rate has increased since the recovery began and both times were under Biden.
• The unemployment rate increased for:
  • Women
  • Black Americans
  • Hispanic and Latino Americans
  • Asian Americans
  • Workers without a high school or college degree
• The number of unemployed Americans increased in June to 9.5 million.
• The labor force participation rate did not increase.

 

Today’s jobs report makes clear: The last thing the American economy needs is more wasteful spending and tax hikes. Biden needs to get out of the way and let the American economy get back to work again.
