THE MAIN THING: Bidenflation Takes Its Toll
Bidenflation: Americans are paying more for everything under Joe Biden.
- Politico reported: “Americans are likely to face higher prices on everything from gasoline to groceries well into next year - threatening to turn a simmering economic issue into a major political one.”
The numbers: According to the Labor Department, producer prices spiked 8.6% from last September. That’s the sixth month in a row that there has been a new record high increase in producer prices.
Americans are paying more for everything:
- Gas UP 42.1% since last year
- Bacon UP 19.3%
- Eggs UP 12.6%
- Chicken UP 7.6%
- Shoes UP 6.5%
- Dresses UP 9.5%
- TVs UP 12.7%
- Computers UP 8.5%
- Used Cars & Trucks UP 24.4%
- Car & Truck Rentals UP 42.9%
What is the Biden White House saying? They have the audacity to call these trends “high class problems.”
- RNC Rapid Response Director Tommy Pigott slammed these comments, saying: “Biden is making everyone worse off, but instead of stopping the damage, their strategy is to try to gaslight Americans.”
Why this matters: Higher prices are here to stay.
- The Federal Reserve moved its timeline for raising interest rates up to 2023 due to high, persistent inflation.
“With consumer prices rising higher than expected and families facing the highest inflation rate in over 13 years, there could not be a worse possible time for Biden and Democrats’ trillions in reckless tax hikes and spending,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel
- "Prices are rising, real wages are down, and Americans are struggling to get back to work – all hallmarks of Joe Biden's Build Back Broke agenda.”

GOP Gain: Iowa State House Seat Flips for First Time in Decades
Republicans flipped a long-held Democrat seat in the Iowa state legislature this week.
Jon Dunwell flipped Iowa House District 29 from blue to red after winning some 60% of the vote. The victory gives the party a 60-40 majority in the state’s House.
- Dunwell will become the first Republican to represent Newton in the Iowa House of Representatives in decades after winning a special election.
What this means: This win proves that Americans are energized to elect Republicans up and down the ballot in 2022.
- This is the second flip in a state legislature by a Republican this year. The first was in Connecticut in August, where Republican Ryan Fazio won the 36th Senate District.
Parents Matter: Democrats Think They Can Raise Your Kids Better than You

Joe Biden and Democrats don’t want parents to be in charge of their kids’ education and they are openly admitting it:
- Democrat Terry McAuliffe said he “[doesn’t] think parents should be telling schools what they should teach." He even accused parents alarmed by their children learning Critical Race Theory of using a "racist … dog whistle" to "create divisions."
- Biden’s Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona said parents should not be the “primary stakeholder” in their kids’ education.
- Joe Biden and Democrats are now attempting to weaponize the Department of Justice to crack down on school parents who oppose critical race theory (CRT) and speak out at school board meetings.
Democrats feel entitled to imposing their values and beliefs on your children. Just look at what teachers’ unions and far-left activist school boards are pushing in communities across the country:
- In California, a high school teacher decorated his classroom with hateful posters that included profanity laced slogans.
- In Atlanta, Georgia, Democrat elementary school officials segregated kids by race.
- In New Jersey, new sex education standards – praised by Planned Parenthood and other radical groups – require that students as young as five years old are taught about “abortion as an option for pregnancy.”
- In New York, a Democrat lawmaker is pushing to require children as young as eight years old to learn about “hormone blockers.”
- In Virginia, officials are moving to eliminate advanced diplomas to pursue “equity” in education, and a school library included books on the subject matters of “pedophilia.”
- In Oregon, Democrat Gov. Kate Brown signed a law that “drops the requirement that high school students prove proficiency in reading, writing, or math before graduation.”
This attitude isn’t playing well with parents, particularly in Virginia where the gubernatorial race is heating up. In fact, it may make all the difference on election day.
Biden’s Polling Problems

Polls indicate Biden’s approval rating tanking across the board.
What they’re showing: Americans increasingly reject Biden and his failed policies.
It’s not just red states: In 40 states, Biden’s disapproval rating is higher than his approval.
“[T]he numbers don’t lie – the American people are rejecting Biden’s radical, far-left agenda,” said Paris Dennard, RNC National Spokesperson.
