The Republican National Committee (RNC) released today a new episode of “Real America,” a podcast hosted by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. In this episode, Chairwoman McDaniel sits down with American Conservative Union (ACU) Chairman Matt Schlapp ahead of CPAC 2022 in Florida today. The two discuss election integrity, the Republican agenda for the 2022 midterms, the dangers of cancel culture, and preview CPAC in Florida.
“I’m so excited for this year’s CPAC and I’m grateful for all that Matt does to empower conservatives, young and old, across our country. While Biden and Democrats divide our country and promote cancel culture, voters know that we’re proud to be Americans, that we’re proud to live in the greatest country in the world, and that Republicans will fight for them and their families," said Chairwoman McDaniel.
"Our theme [for CPAC this year] is ‘awake, not woke,’” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. “To me, that is what's going on in the country right now, this fight between woke and awake. And I'm on the awake side. And you're going to have all the people you see on television there. Governor DeSantis will be there. President Trump will be there. Donald Trump Jr. will be there. You know, Josh Hawley will be there. Marco Rubio will be there, and other great governors like Governor Stitt of Oklahoma.”
“Real America” features stories from outside the beltway, highlights Republican leadership and shows how Republican policies are leading America’s comeback and working for real Americans. Chairwoman McDaniel is offering the platform for Republican leaders to share their successes and for listeners to hear real stories from the exciting, leading voices in our Party. Season Two launched this year and has so far featured House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, and Rep. Byron Donalds.
