WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee (RNC) released today a new episode of “Real America,” a podcast hosted by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. On this episode of Real America, Chairwoman McDaniel sits down with Congressman Jim Jordan (OH-04) to discuss what Republicans will investigate when they win the majority in the House, how the Republican Party has grown under the leadership of Chairwoman McDaniel and former President Trump, the need to protect women’s sports, and the importance of the midterm elections in two months.
“I remember when Trump was a candidate in Michigan and Macomb County, which was our Reagan Democrat county, right – like your dad, those union workers. And he [Trump] came in and he talked about manufacturing leaving our state and he talked about hardworking, you know, taxpaying, patriot Americans who love this country, who have lost a voice in Washington. Nobody cared about people from Michigan or Ohio. And he came and said, you know, I'm going to go fight for you. And I think that's really – it’s transformed our party into a working class party, and I hope we stay there,” said RNC Chairwoman McDaniel.
“From 1903 to 1969, 66 years, we went from two guys flying 100 feet to putting a man on the moon. No other country did that. And I would argue no other country had in place the principles and the process and the system and the freedoms to even get close to doing that. Only America could do that. And it is the greatest country ever. And I always tell folks, don't ever let anyone tell you it's not. It is the best place ever and it is worth fighting for. And that's what you're doing with our party as leading our party,” said Rep. Jordan. “That's what we're all supposed to do as Americans. And if we think about that, it's worth going and voting. It is worth fighting for those people who believe in your values and helping those candidates. That's what's at stake. And I always tell folks, our challenge, our task has always been the same as Americans – to protect the promise this country has always afforded its citizens. The promise if you have a dream, you have a goal, if you work hard, it can happen. That's our job.”
