The Republican National Committee (RNC) released today the tenth episode of Real America, a podcast hosted by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. In this episode, Chairwoman McDaniel sits down with Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) and discusses her journey into politics, issues facing Americans, and strong female leadership in today’s Republican Party.
“Democrats always claim the mantle of being the party for women. But women in our party are not celebrated by the mainstream media,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “If we are the first, if we're breaking glass ceilings or doing things that are outside the norm, it's muted because we're Republican, which is shameful. And I think it's so important and valuable to hear Congresswoman Mace’s story. Being a woman who has survived horrible violence, dropped out of high school, lifted herself up, went to the Citadel, what she put herself through.”
In the podcast, Chairman McDaniel and Rep. Mace highlight the diversity of the Republican freshman class, the Congresswoman’s freshman term in office, and how she’s standing up to political intimidation we see from the far-left.
“The diversity of faces, a diversity of ideas and the work ethic with this freshman class is tremendous and we’re all doing their part right now, especially the ones that flipped seats,” said Representative Mace. “We all really get it. And they were all women or black Republicans or combat veterans or immigrants that flipped those seats. And so that diversity really binds us together. That's the glue that has been holding us together, is such a diverse class.”
