The Republican National Committee (RNC) released today the Season Two premiere of "Real America," a podcast hosted by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. In the premiere, Chairwoman McDaniel sits down with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to cover everything from his role as the top Republican in the House to the importance of winning back the majority this November.
“I think it's so important that you don't just say, this is all Biden's doing wrong,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “You need to say if you give us the privilege of having the majority, this is what we're going to do to make your lives better. And this is our commitment to the voters and our commitment to America. This is our commitment to everybody.”
“I thank you for all your help. Everybody said we'd lose 15 seats. You know, they had the numbers right, but the party was wrong,” said Leader McCarthy. “It was the first time since 1994 not one Republican lost, but we beat 15 Democrats and every Democrat lost to a Republican woman, a Republican minority or Republican veteran. And what's so interesting is because that majority became so small. They have a five seat majority, the smallest Democrat majority, in 100 years.”
In the podcast, Chairwoman McDaniel and Leader McCarthy discuss what is on the agenda when Republicans win in November.
“First thing will be to secure our border. We'll focus on small businesses. We'll curve inflation and we will get our economic system back under control. We'll give parents the bill of rights to know what's being taught inside their school, to know what's being able to be read, and to know where their money is being spent,” said McCarthy. “But the other thing that you're going to find that we're going to be able to do is we're going to rebuild our standing around the world, which is very important to Americans as well. And we're also going to hold this administration accountable.”
“Real America” features stories from outside the beltway, highlights Republican leadership and shows how Republican policies are leading America’s comeback and working for real Americans. Chairwoman McDaniel is offering the platform for Republican leaders to share their successes and for listeners to hear real stories from the exciting, leading voices in our Party.
