WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) is holding Congressional Democrats accountable for raising taxes during a recession and enlisting 87,000 new IRS agents to target hardworking Americans and families.
"Democrats alone are responsible for raising taxes during a recession and unleashing the IRS on hardworking Americans and families,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. “The Republican Party will hold Joe Biden and Democrats accountable for making life harder for Americans amid high costs, historic inflation, and a recession."
The RNC is on the ground in battleground states across the country, reminding voters how congressional Democrats are actively working to destroy the American Dream. The RNC has already had events slamming Charlie Crist in Florida, Maggie Hassan in New Hampshire, Cheri Beasley in North Carolina, Raphael Warnock in Georgia, Cindy Axne in Iowa, Matt Cartwright in Pennsylvania, Steven Horsford in Nevada, and Vicente Gonzalez and Henry Cuellar in Texas. Several more events are planned for the coming weeks in additional states including Ohio, Arizona, and Maine.
While Americans get crushed with higher taxes, Biden gave $80 billion to the IRS for additional audits and an army of 87,000 new IRS agents. This $80 billion would lead to nearly one million additional audits per year on Americans making less than $200,000.
