RNC, NRCC, and Missouri GOP Move to Stop Democrats' Latest Missouri Redistricting Scheme

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This weekend, the Republican National Committee (RNC), National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), and Missouri Republican Party (MOGOP) stepped in to stop Missouri Democrats’ illegal redistricting proposal.

 

"After already losing in court, Democrats are once again trying to push the same failed redistricting scheme through another avenue," said RNC Chairman Joe Gruters. "Missourians have already rejected this agenda, and the courts have too. The RNC is fighting to protect Missouri's lawful maps and ensure Democrats can't use lawsuits to rewrite the rules when they don't get their way."

 

"The NRCC is proud to defend this fair and legal map," said NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson. "Missouri voters elected the legislature that drew these lines, and that legislature acted well within its authority. Missourians deserve representation that reflects how they actually vote, and we'll keep fighting for that in court." 

 

"The Missouri Republican Party is joining the fight once again to stop the Democrat lawfare campaign against Missouri's Congressional maps," said Missouri GOP Chairman Peter Kinder. "Missourians and courts alike have rejected their redistricting plans multiple times; we will make sure it happens again this time as well."

  • Friday night, the RNC, NRCC, and Missouri GOP moved to defend Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins' decision not to place a congressional redistricting proposal on the November ballot after it failed to meet Missouri law.
  • This proposal was the latest Democrat scheme to dismantle Missouri's current congressional maps, which were passed by the legislature and signed into law in 2025.
  • Democrats and their activist allies have spent years waging a campaign to overturn Missouri's fair congressional maps through lawsuits, ballot initiatives, and political campaigns after repeatedly failing to get their way.
  • The RNC and NRCC previously intervened to defend Missouri's congressional maps from Democrats' legal attacks.
  • Democrats and national activist groups have already spent more than $6 million trying to overturn Missouri's maps in court, and lost.
  • The RNC also helped fund the successful legal effort that defended the maps against challenges to both their implementation and constitutionality.
