RNC Secures Massive Court Victory to Stop Non-Citizens from Voting

Press Release

WASHINGTON  Following a New York Court’s decision in favor of an RNC lawsuit to prevent non-citizens from voting, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement. “American elections should be decided by American citizens – full stop. The RNC has devoted significant resources to stopping Democrats from letting non-citizens vote, and this massive court victory in America’s biggest city demonstrates the impact of our election integrity legal operation. The RNC will continue fighting to keep non-citizens out of our elections in New York City and nationwide.”  Background:

  • Yesterday, a New York Appellate Court ruled in favor of the RNC’s lawsuit against a local law that would allow 900,000 non-citizens to vote in New York City.
  • This affirms an earlier court victory on the same issue in September 2022.
  • The RNC has engaged in 78 cases of election integrity litigation in 23 states this cycle alone, including litigation to prevent non-citizens from voting in Arizona, Texas, and Vermont.
