RNC Statement Celebrating One Year of the Working Families Tax Cuts

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Joe Gruters released the following statement on the anniversary of the Working Families Tax Cuts being signed into law.

“One year ago, President Trump and Republicans kept our promise to American workers, families, and small businesses to deliver the largest tax cut in history, despite every Democrat in Congress voting against it,” said Chairman Gruters. “Today, the average American is keeping more of every paycheck, with no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security. We're going to keep this Great American Comeback going, while Democrats keep fighting the very tax relief that's already helping millions of working families.”

• Over 29 million workers have benefitted from No Tax on Overtime.

• Over 7.5 million workers have benefited from No Tax on Tips.
• Over 35 million taxpayers have claimed No Tax on Social Security. 
• 97% of taxpayers saw a tax cut under the Working Families Tax Cuts.
• 12 million small business owners are seeing an average tax reduction of nearly $7,000.
• July 4^th 2026 saw the launch of Trump Accounts, which gives American children born between 2025 and 2028 a $1,000 contribution in investments to help build their financial future.
