WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on two years since Joe Biden’s interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, in which Biden repeatedly made promises to the American people that his botched Afghanistan withdrawal couldn't fulfill:
“Two years later, Biden still has ‘no apologies’ and refuses to take any responsibility for his failures. He lied, broke promises, and his botched Afghanistan withdrawal led to the death of 13 U.S. service members. Republicans will always hold Biden and his reckless administration accountable and Americans will never forget their lack of leadership on the world stage.”
Today marks two years since Biden had a sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos where he said, “if there are American citizens left, we’re going to stay until we get them all out.” Biden lied, lef t hundreds of Americans stranded behind enemy lines for months, and failed to protect American citizens from becoming hostages of the Taliban.
