232,972 illegal immigrants were encountered attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in August – making it the worst August at the border on record as fiscal year 2023 becomes the worst year at the border on record.
WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on the August border encounters:
“Fiscal year 2023 is now the worst year at the border on record, yet the Biden administration refuses to call this a ‘crisis.’ At the hands of Biden’s failed open border agenda, cartels and smugglers are thriving and American communities are less safe. Where is Joe Biden?"
