RNC Statement on Biden Remarks at NABTU Conference

WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on Biden's speech at the North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU) Conference: 
 
“In addition to creating 40-year high inflation and record high gas prices, Biden can add destroying thousands of American jobs to his list of failures. Biden touts himself as a champion of workers – yet he has actively destroyed thousands of jobs through his mandates, lockdowns, and anti-American energy agenda.”
 
Background:

• Biden promised to be the “most pro-union president” in history, but cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline on day one, killing 8,000 union jobs in the process. 
• The latest report shows that Bidenflation is shrinking workers’ paychecks, with rising prices eating up any wage growth. 
  • The average American is facing the highest inflation in 40 years, decreasing real wages, and a lower standard of living, with no relief in sight.
  • There are still 1.6 million Americans who lost their job during the pandemic and have yet to get it back.
