WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) National Press Secretary Emma Vaughn released the following statement on Biden's worsening border crisis and the administration releasing COVID positive migrants into Texas communities:
“Biden’s hypocrisy and lack of leadership knows no bounds as he ignores the science by mandating vaccinated Americans to mask-up again while simultaneously welcoming countless COVID-infected migrants across our Southern Border and into local communities across the country. President Biden and Democrats are fueling the spread of COVID with their open border policies, and Americans citizens are paying the price.”
Background:
- Preliminary numbers for July border encounters show Biden’s border crisis is raging completely out of control
- According to reporting from the Associated Press, U.S. immigration officials stopped 210,000 illegal immigrants in July, surging past June’s 188,000 apprehensions for a new 21 year-high.
- Alarmingly, the number of unaccompanied minors crossing the border is skyrocketing again. Estimates indicate that an all-time high of 19,000 unaccompanied minors were apprehended at the border, passing the previous all-time high set in March.
- So much for Biden’s claim that they’ve “now gotten control.” So much for Harris’ claim of “progress.”
- If this is what addressing the “root causes” looks like, they need to try something new. They could start by reversing Biden’s open borders agenda.
