RNC Statement on Biden’s Trip to El Paso, Texas

Press Release

MISSION, TX - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) released the below statements on Biden’s trip to El Paso, Texas:

Chairwoman McDaniel will be at the border today in TX-15 to join local community leaders to discuss Biden’s visit, his disastrous border security plan, and its effects on Texas’s border communities and the nation. If you are interested in learning more about her visit to Mission, Texas, please reach out to Kschipper@gop.com.

“Since day one of his presidency, Joe Biden has put drug smugglers and human traffickers before American families, allowing deadly fentanyl to pour across the border, and abandoned our brave Border Patrol agents," said Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. "Simply put: Biden’s visit is nothing more than a photo op."

Chairwoman McDaniel continued: "Meanwhile, Republicans are offering real solutions to get the border back under control like it was when we had a Republican President. People are dying and communities are being overrun because of the crisis Biden created at the border."

"Unless Biden makes a complete 180 from his disastrous border agenda, the humanitarian crisis we are witnessing will only continue," said Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15). "His crisis has wreaked havoc for over a year with record number of illegal migrants encounters and increased drug and human smuggling rates. Without action, his visit today will be nothing more than a photo op and he will continue to put Americans at risk."
