WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Joe Gruters released the following statement on the Georgia Governor runoff:
“Keisha Lance Bottoms is a radical nut job who defunded the police, shuttered small businesses, and put criminals first. Georgians don’t want a repeat of Bottoms’ failures and Republicans will send her into permanent retirement this November.”
Keisha Lance Bottoms:
Defunded the police as mayor of Atlanta, demoralizing law enforcement and creating a crime crisis, with homicides surging 58% and the city’s “violence remaining unrelenting.”
Ended the City of Atlanta’s cooperation with ICE, enacted sanctuary city policies, and removed all detainees from the city jail.
Said “obstructing immigration enforcement” is part of Democrats' plans to “reimagine” law enforcement.
Believes the "MAGA Republican agenda" is an effort to "essentially destroy the United States of America.”
Worked in Joe Biden’s administration, carrying water for his open border crisis, hatred of Republicans, and cognitive decline.
Was a “senior advisor” on Kamala Harris’ failed campaign, which put dangerous criminals ahead of Americans, destroyed U.S. energy, crushed Americans’ pocketbooks, and unleashed deadly chaos at our southern border.
