156,274 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in January, making this the highest total for January in 22 years.
WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on the January border encounters:
“Joe Biden has broken the border. Monthly apprehensions of illegal immigrants have surpassed 150,000 for 23 consecutive months, in addition to fentanyl pouring across the border making every town a border town. Under Biden’s open borders agenda, drug cartels and human traffickers are thriving while Americans are less safe.”
