RNC Statement on Joe Biden's Baby Formula Shortage

WASHINGTON - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on Joe Biden's meeting to discuss his baby formula shortage:

" Because of the Biden administration’s failures, families are desperate to find baby formula for their children. The Biden administration knew this shortage was coming and did nothing to prevent the empty shelves parents experience today. No excuses from Biden will relieve parents’ worries about feeding their children, affording groceries, and filling up their cars."

Background: 

• While the Biden administration originally said they only knew about the shortage since February, Biden HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra recently admitted  he had known about the shortage since last year. 
  • The administration blamed the formula shortage on “fearful” parents who cannot feed their newborns. 
  • Biden attempted to shift blame off his administration by saying they aren’t “mind readers.”
  • The administration attempted to blame baby formula maker Abbott’s plant shutdown for the shortage. 
• Biden begged foreign nations for baby formula as other countries remain fully stocked.
• Biden’s FDA commissioner can’t give a straight answer on when the baby formula shortage will end, at first predicting it will end in “weeks,” and now saying “months.”
